Foundation History

The Foundation was started many years ago by the Oakhurst Chamber to be able to accept grants for projects. The Chamber Alliance, made up of representatives from the four mountain chambers, merged with the Foundation in 2021 to revitalize both groups since each of their missions aligned.

The group is made up of the 4 mountain chambers, visitor bureau, and a community member from each of the 4 main towns (Oakhurst, Coarsegold, North Fork and Bass Lake), plus 2 At Large members. The group meets once a month to take on projects and apply for grants that help each community - therefore the mountain area as a whole.
